Cool vest

Check out what my mum made for N. It is so cute, she did such a great job. She started working on it when J was pregnant and even brought it on vacation to NC with us. I think she only worked on it once while she was here tho! So it headed back to Spain with her and she finally just finished it. I was worried that by the time it arrived it wouldn't fit him, but it just about does! Almost makes me want to pull the knitting needles out and work on something myself, but i never made it past making hats. Think a sweater would be too complicated for me, so i'll leave it to the experts! I've already told mum that she better start working on a bigger one for next year.....

Pumpkin patch!

We took baby N to a local pumpkin patch with his grandparents to celebrate his Pop's birthday. Think we were way more into it than he was but we look forward to continuing these traditions as he gets older. He was trying to put everything into his mouth - the pumpkins, straw, corn, anything he could get his hands on.

Our poor little man is sick right now so we've been keeping a low profile at home. He caught a cold from the kids at work so has a low grade fever and cough. Despite not feeling good he's been a good sport about it all. He's still feeding pretty well, but has no interest in solids so we've stopped them for the time being. I love how well J and I work together as a team, it's even more apparent when we have a sick baby. Last night baby N was having a hard time sleeping, so i took the first shift, bunking with N in his room. Catching a little sleep between rocking, walking and hanging in the steamy bathroom with the baby and J took over at 2am. So we both managed to get a little sleep. I'm so lucky to be sharing this whole experience with J. She is the best thing that ever happened to me...I love our little family so much!

5 months

Our little man is not so little anymore! At his 5 months check the other day we found out that he now weighs 17.3 lbs and is 27 inches long. Our ped says that he's the size of a 7 month old, so i guess that's why we've been pulling out the bigger clothes and packing away the ones that are too small.

The biggest development is that he's now rolling over. Despite the ped telling us that he'd roll from his belly to back first he did the opposite. He starting rolling from his back to his belly and was then kind of stuck there. Which he is none to happy about as he's not a tummy time fan. But today he's rolling back again so that's great. We're some very proud mommies!

He also just started solids. We started with the baby rice, but he really didn't like it, so i started making my own baby food. He seems to like the orange things - sweet potato and carrots are favorites and pears he's not too bothered about. I'm really starting slowly. We offer him some after his milk and if he takes a little that's great, if he's not interested then that's ok too.

Check out how cute he is!
