After lunch we headed to the local big box home improvement store to pick up some stuff for the new house. Who would have thought that a few years ago a date would involve walking around home depot picking out paint colors, door locks and new toilet seats! Don't think I know anyone in England that buys new toilet seats when they move into a new house, but I guess it happens here! It was a great date, so nice to spend time together and get some things done without the baby. I did feel a little bad for his grandparents as he's been cranky for the last couple of days and probably wasn't the best company! We're not exactly sure what's going on with him, but he hasn't been happy. He could be getting another cold, or tooth, I wish he could tell us what's going on. The result is that he's not sleeping well - waking almost hourly every night and deciding to start his day way too early at around 5. Hopefully it'll get better as he starts to feel better.
We're keeping our fingers crossed that our new closing for Wednesday goes through without a hitch. And that any snow holds off until after we can move. We have things set up for Thursday and Christmas Eve and don't want to have to reschedule them again. We'll start moving on Boxing day. Our aim is to be in before the end of the next week - J is off work until the 3rd and my sister arrives on the 1st so we're going to be busy!
After talking about it for weeks I finally managed to capture N's giggle on video. When we try to get him to giggle for the camera it never works, but the cat always gets the job done!
He has such a deep voice, what a little man! So cute!
ReplyDeleteOur babies were born very close weren't they? Charlie has just cut his first 2 front teeth and was a different baby for a while, now he is back to normal :)
And no, we don't buy new toilet seats when we move house! lol
